Times Square: Strumming on my guitar, with a Snooki sign

So. I know this blog is supposed to be about "Peter Writ[ing]," but a picture, in this case, is really worth a thousand words. From 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., I was riding 'round New York with 2 friends, playing the guitar, soliciting money, and holding up a handmade sign that said, "I slept w Snooki last week - PLEASE HELP."

We started out right outside the dormitory, moved to the F subway stop for 20 minutes, tried out Union Square, played on the subway to Times Square, and settled in to the middle of Times Square for an hour and a half. Let's break down statistically what we accomplished:

Money collected: $2.95
Pictures taken of us: 50+
Videos taken of us: 3~
Bros who said, "How was she, bro?": ~15
Bros who said, "You have STDs now!!!": ~5
Tourists who laughed: 100+
Tourists who were horrified: 10+
Songs we played, in order of most successful: Teenage Dream, Our Song, Just a Dream, She Was Mine, Back to December
Phone numbers of pretty girls: 2
Tourist groups that used us as an excuse to plank "NYC": 1

I got back home and realized that I turned 22 playing guitar in Times Square. Not too shabby, huh?

  1. What an awesome way to spend your birthday! I have the guitar tabs to all those songs, too. I wish I were there.
